March 27, 1977 - July 3, 2021
Jonathan Reid Harrison, 44, of 3611 NC 87, Reidsville, NC, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320 with Pastor Michael Jones officiating. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday, July 9, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at his parents home (397 Lindsey Road, Reidsville, NC 27320).
Jonathan was born in Rockingham County and was working with CULP Textiles. He served in the US Army for 4 years where he became an executive chef and an expert marksman. He then served in the National Guard for another 2 years. After his return from Afghanistan, he continued with his interest in marksmanship. Jonathan was artistic in every way… all of his interests utilized his creative gifts, including singing, playing his guitar and sketching. His first love was his wife, his children and his entire family and many friends. Jonathan was preceded in death by his brothers Steven Todd Harrison and Benjamin Brooks Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Shelton Harrison; children McKailey Cheyenne Harrison, Ashlynn Rose Harrison and Jonathan Reid Harrison, II; mother Meryle McKinney Harrison; father Robert Fetzer Harrison; sister Brooklyn Alisa Harrison; brothers Kevin Mark Harrison and wife Regina and Brian Scott Harrison; special friend Jill Jackson; mother-in-law Scarlett Shelton; great mother-in-law Margaret Bell; and a large extended family.
