ELON — Ms. Sonia Reneé Westbrook Loftis, 49, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at her home after several years of battling illness.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Donald Ray Westbrook and Naomi T. Westbrook, who survive. She was a graduate of Western High School, a former manager with Max’s Mexican Eatery and was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church.
Sonia is survived by her parents of the home; a daughter, Lindsay R. Burton; granddaughter, Gracie Briggs Burton; sister, Donna Ray Lane; two nephews, Johnathan Westbrook and Andrew Lane; a greatniece, Annabelle R. Lane; and great-nephew, Avery R. Lane.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Fann. Interment
will follow in Alamance Memorial
Park. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glen Raven Baptist Church, 335 Glen Raven Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
