OBIT: REIDSVILLE — Jacqueline McKinney "Jackie" McAlister, 77, of 211 Minnow Dr. Reidsville, N.C. went to be with the Lord Monday February 28, 2011.

Memorial services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday March 3, 2011 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens Columbarium at a later date.

A native of Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Meredith and Edith Hobbs McKinney and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She was a retired employee of American Tobacco Co. with 30 years of service, a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star, and the Rockingham Lake Fishing Club. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bedford "B.C." McAlister, and a brother: Charles M. McKinney.

Surviving: sons, Eric C. McAlister and wife Alicia of Florence, KY, Todd McAlister and wife Sheila of Colonial Heights, VA; daughter, Lou Ann M. Harris and husband Keith of Eden; brother, Garland L. "Mac" McKinney and wife Bobbie of Reidsville; grandchildren, Brad King, Adam King, Devin McAlister, Jaclyn McAlister, and Phillip McAlister; great grandchild, Summer Ann Jefferies. 470, Jacqueline Hope McKinney McAlister
