Horace Thomas Walker

January 1, 1932 ~ May 10, 2020 (age 88)

Horace Thomas Walker, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his Home.  He was born on January 1, 1932 in Caswell County to the late James Curry Walker and Lessie Massey Walker, and was the husband of 60 years to the late Barbara McKinney Walker who passed away in 2015.
Horace retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies after 30 years of service.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, who will be dearly missed.
Horace is survived by his children, Ron Walker and wife Sherri, Doug Walker and wife Amy, Sheila Walker, Mark Walker and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Brian Walker and wife Crystal, Jennifer Starnes, Dr. Philipp Talley, Jr. and wife Jacqueline, Hannah Walker Hall and husband Justin, Kyle Walker and fiancé Caitlyn Hagy, Andy Walker, Cody Walker and McKenzie Kenyon; great grandchildren, Abby Starnes, Cami Starnes, Lucas Walker, Shelby Walker and Philipp “Sonny” Talley III.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara M. Walker; parents, James and Lessie Walker; and a sister and brother-in-law, Edith W. and Eugene Cheek.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Larry Cheek.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bush Arbor Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Susan Newcomb, 909 Oakview Loop Road., Yanceyville, NC 27379.
