REIDSVILLE — Jo Anne Matkins Hopper, 64, of 1508 Walnut St., Reidsville, N.C., went to be with the Lord Friday, July 4, 2008, at her home.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
A life-long resident of Reidsville, she was a daughter of Joseph Edwin "Joe" Matkins and the late Hortense Mckinney Lamb and was a former employee of Chase Bag.
Jo Anne was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her, a former member of the Joy Amputee Support Group, and Faith Christian Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Brittaney Leigh of Greensboro, N.C.; father, Joe Matkins of Reidsville, N.C.; sister, Judy Matkins Nail and husband, Burt of Lacey, Wash.; nephew, Dr. Peter Brodie Wood and wife, Cindi; five great nephews and one great niece; and many special friends.
The family will see friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
