Joseph Jackson "Joe" Kernodle, 90, of 1011 US Hwy 158 died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Annie Penn Hospital.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00AM Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating.
A native of Alamance Co., he was a son of the late F. A. and Frances Winn Kernodle , and had lived in the Monroeton Community of Rockingham Co. most of his life. Joe was a self-employed welder and garage owner, an avid hunter and fisherman, a U S. Navy Veteran, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Sally Hudson Kernodle.
Surviving are his son, Joseph William "Bill" Kernodle and wife, Suzanne, of Seneca, SC,
granddaughter, Heather Miller and husband, Doug, of Atlanta, Ga.; and 2 great-grandchildren. And special friend, Gerald Pruitt of Reidsville. 470, Joseph Jackson “Joe” Kernodle
