Larry Herman Michael 79, of Browns Summit passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday October 1st, 2023.

A Graveside service will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Gunter officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the family home.

Larry was born in Guilford County to the late Wade and Mary Michael.

He served his country in the United States Army. He was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 386 in Greensboro, NC.

He loved coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, eating seafood and American Legion Hot Dogs on Saturdays. Most of all, he loved God, his family, and his country.

Along with his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his late wife, Betty “Sue” Michael; great grandson, Bentley Rainey and brother, Hartman Wade Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Jones Michael; children, Bobby Michael and wife, Tracy, Donna Michael, and Jason Michael; grandchildren, Tiffine Michael, Heather Vaughn, Vanessa Rainey, Brittni Hardison, Matt Michael, Taylor Barham, Connor Michael, Peyton Michael, Cody Michael; great grandchildren, Cole Blanks, Hannah Allen, Alyssa Collins, Jacob Allen, Maddox Rainey, Camden Robertson, Carson Averill, Mckinley Rainey, Chance Averill and River Barham; sisters, Mary McGehee and Audrey Denny as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the American Legion Post 386 at 1206 American Legion Street, Greensboro, NC 27405 566, Larry Herman Michael
