Mrs. Louise King Baldwin Day, 86, of Elon passed away at The Cottage of Blakey Hall, Elon, NC on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Harvey Baldwin and the late Hassell Day and the daughter of Leroy King and Esther Montgomery King, both deceased. She retired from AT&T with 36 years of service and was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. She had a generous spirit, a strong faith, and a heart that leaned towards others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Baldwin Nance (Paul) of Graham; son, Rick Baldwin (Linelle) of Oregon City, OR; three grandchildren, Crystal Guthrie (Jonathan) of Burlington, Candice Garner (Jonathan) of Graham and Caleb Nance of Hillsborough; and three great-grandchildren, Ava, Jacey and Quest Garner. She was preceded in death by two step-sons, Mitch Day and Mark Day; two sisters, Hazel Stewart Cope and Ruth Womble Sykes; and brother, Allen King.
Our family wishes to thank the caregivers at Blakey Hall, with special appreciation to the Hospice staff over the last 9 months. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
