Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Taylor Kernodle, 91, of Burlington died Monday, April 4, 2011.

A native of Halifax County, NC, she was the wife of the late Charles Ervin Kernodle and the daughter of William Edward Taylor and Isla Green Taylor, both deceased. Dot was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. She retired from Wooten Appliance as office manager.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Zody McDowell & husband, Tim of Raleigh and Janice Kernodle of Graham; her grandchildren, Josh McDowell and wife, Sandi of Elon, Chris McDowell Barrett of Raleigh, Jim Kernodle and wife, D.J. of Goose Creek, SC, Georgia Kernodle of Myrtle Beach, SC and Bain Heffner, III of Graham; 4 great-grandchildren, Anderson Barrett, Elizabeth Kernodle, Bryce Kernodle and Timothy McDowell; a sister, Rachel McGrath of Falls Church, VA; and a brother, Robert Alton Taylor of Santee, CA.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park
