June 25, 1932 ~ June 5, 2024 (age 91)
Mrs. Marilyn Jones Howerton, 91, of Elon, passed away at the Village at Brookwood on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, NC, she was wife of the late Paul Franklin Howerton and daughter of the late Barney Nicholson Jones and Nettie Allen Jones.
Mrs. Howerton was a member of Berea Christian Church.
Mrs. Howerton is survived by her son, Kevin L. Howerton (Eudora) of Raleigh and daughter, Kathi H. Ludwig (Louis) of Elon; and six grandchildren, Daryl Ludwig, Laura McClernan, Joseph Howerton, Malena Howerton, Frederick Brown and Alphonsus Brown.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:45 am – 12:45 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Collective, 918 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Berea Christian Church, 2848 Old NC 87, Elon, NC 27244.
