CATHY ANN WYRICK SZARKA, of 1006 Maurice Daniels Road, Roxboro, NC died Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.
Mrs. Szarka was born February 11, 1949 in Guilford County, NC to Warren Lyndon Wyrick, Sr. & the late Billie Barber Wyrick. She was formerly employed with Guilford County Schools and also was a painter.
Surviving are two daughters, Jullie Huffman of Whitsett, NC, Amy Rowland of Roxboro, NC, son, Raymond Chilton of Benson, NC, companion, Charles Buster Rowland, Sr of the home, two sisters, Lynn Lancaster, Cindy McDowell, brother, Lindy Wyrick, seven grandchildren, Thuy Tran, Roger Ellis Huffman, III, Brandi Paige Chilton, Ricky Ayala, Michael Godinez, Emily Rowland and Zachary Rowland.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Szarka was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Chilton.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Casey Mursten. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home and at the home of Julie Huffman, 7054 Crescent Road, Whitsett, NC.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Ayala, Roger Ellis Huffman, Lee Powell, Steven Powell, Barry Summers and Lindy Wyrick.
