Alan Alan Dean Kinney, Jr., age 55, Vietnam War Navy Reserve Veteran, of Charleston, S.C., passed away on December 16, 2004, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2004, at 12 noon in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, S.C. 29406. Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2004, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at the funeral home.
Survivors included his mother, Evelyn G. Kinney, of Charleston, S.C., sisters, Janet Pearlman and her husband David of Charleston, S.C., Carol Anzaldua and her husband Fred of Hurst, Texas. Also included are nieces, Elizabeth Pearlman, Lauren Anzaldua, nephews, Sean Anzaldua, Andrew Pearlman, and Ross Anzaldua. Predeceased by husband, Alan D. Kinney, Sr.
Mr. Kinney was born on March 28, 1949, in Orlando, Fla. He is the son of the late Alan Dean Kinney, Sr., and Evelyn Greeson Kinney.
He attended college at Charleston Baptist Southern University and is Methodist in faith.
Mr. Kinney served his country during the Vietnam War in the Navy Reserve.
