Barbara King Lashley, 75, of Burlington, NC passed away at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro on Friday, July 5, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Larry Wilson Lashley, who survives and the daughter of George Lee King, Jr. and Malinda Aldridge King, both deceased.
Barbara grew up in Caswell county in the Bush Arbor community and worked as a technician at Konica and a volunteer for Hospice. She was an avid Duke basketball fan and enjoyed watching and playing golf. Barbara loved beach music and beach trips, and also going to yard sales and bargain shops. Her daughters and grandchildren were very special to her.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include two daughters, Angelia Burke Gallimore and husband Hunter and Christy Burke Mercer; several grandchildren, Hayden Gallimore, Meghan Gallimore McKeithan, Logan Gallimore, Jordan Galimore, Meredith, Morgan, and Addison Mercer; brother, Wayne King; brother-in-law, Ronnie Norton; and special aunt, Janice Aldridge Andrews; niece, Ronna Norton Stewart ; nephew, Tanner Norton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol King Norton.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers, Lisa and Allsion, for the loving care given to Barbara.
