Obituary Online notes for Julia Anna UNGSTAD
A funeral for Julia A. Wright of Southeast Portland, a retired elementary teacher in the David Douglas School District, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Ross Hollywood Chapel. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Wright died in a Portland hospital Sunday of complications arising from diabetes. She was 79.
She was born April 21, 1912, in Bemidji, Minn., and had lived in the Portland area since 1961. Mrs. Wright taught at Ventura Park Elementary School for 17 years until her retirement in 1977. She married Walter J. Wright on Jan. 1, 1977.
Survivors besides her husband include her sons, Donald E. Krogstad and Lorance B. "Larry" Krogstad of Portland; brother, Paul Ungstad of Portland; sisters, Martha Liapis of Bemidji, Minn., and Ruth Sooy of Portland; and one grandson.
