Obituary Online notes for William Bassett GRAY Sr.
W. Bassett Gray died Friday night at the Pulaski Community Hospital following an illness of pneumonia. Mr. Gray had been ill since Tuesday, being moved to the hospital Friday night a short time before his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Daniel Gray and three children, Dan, W.B., Jr., and Houston Gray; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Whit Gray; six brothers and sisters, Lena, Mrs. G.W. Warden, Lois, Mary Ellen, Irvine and Julius.
Funeral services will be held at his home on Altoona railroad this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. F.P. Anderson in charge.
Burial will be in the Ray cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Lou Daniel Gray, 85, of Rt. 3, Pulaski, died Thursday evening in the Montgomery County Hospital. Born In Pulaski County, Dec. 20. 1897, she was the daughter of the late Elisha Daniel and Julia Raines Daniel. She was the widow of William Bassett Gray Sr. Surviving arc three sons, Dannie Gray and Houston Gray, both of Pulaski, and W.B. Gray Jr. of Mentor, OH; one sister, Miss Nelle J. Daniel of Dublin; and nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clifton Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ray Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Saturday at Stevens with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
