Mary Magdalene Stanley Haynes, 90, of Burlington, NC passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Monday, July 22, 2024.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Russell Bailey Haynes, Sr. and the daughter of David Dodson Stanley, Sr. and Minnie Myrtle Page Stanley, both deceased. She was a retired secretary having worked with Western Electric and AT&T. Mary was an avid gardener and loved to cross stitch. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Russell B. Haynes, Jr. and wife Danyell of Whitsett; two daughters, Debbie H. Harrison and husband Mark of Hillsboro, OR and Sheryl H. Gustafson and husband David of Wake Forest; 9 grandchildren, Kevin (April), Nicholas (Tiffany), Leslie, Christopher, Stephanie (Marcus), Brent (Chantel), Zachary (Samantha), Mackenzie (Marcus), and Allison; many great grandchildren, Allison, Jessica, Taylor, Andy, Tanner, Alexis, Major, Baker, Sloane, Kennedy, Colton, Olivia, Piper, Harrison, Jagger, Noah, and Hunter; and three sisters, Shirley Busick, Rachel Matthews, and Lillie Belle Murphy. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene, Junior, Elsie, Otis, Gladys, and Ralph.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor David Neff with the family receiving friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
