ELLEN McDANIEL ALCON GIBSONVILLE - Ellen Nora McDaniel Alcon, 56, of 3705 Huffine Mill Road, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Brown Wesleyan Church, conducted by the Rev. Larry Pope and the Rev. Otis Chandler. Burial will be in Brown Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Alcon was born March 14, 1944, in Guilford County, to Eddie Henry and Emma Elizabeth Payne McDaniel.
She was a member of Brown Wesleyan Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women of Wisdom.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Alcon of the home; daughters, Penny Alcon of the home, Sherry Flynn of Gibsonville; son, David Alcon of Gibsonville; brothers, Lawrence McDaniel of Greensboro, Jimmie McDaniel of Greenville, S.C., Rondall McDaniel of Greensboro; sisters, Vivian Welch of Greensboro, Clara Wyrick of Gibsonville, Kathryn Blackburn of Greensboro; and grandson, Colby Flynn of Gibsonville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2000, at Brown Wesleyan Church.
