CHARLOTTE - Rosa E. Pegram, 88, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006, in Charlotte, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro.
Born near Gibsonville, she was married to Samuel Pegram on July 3, 1941, in Alamance County. She was a life long resident of Greensboro. Rosa retired from the Sears and Roebuck Co.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Hamilton and Annie Loy; her husband, Samuel Pegram; her brothers, Russell and Earlie Loy and her sister, Lena Taylor.
She is survived her daughter, Linda Trowbridge of Charlotte; sons, Dr. Paul Samuel Pegram of Winston Salem and Stephen Pegram of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Holly Trowbridge Kurtz and Matthew Pegram, also survive her along with great grandchildren, Claire, William and Colin Kurtz.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
