Mrs. Mary Stutts Rich, 78, of Graham, NC passed away on November 3, 2024, at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.
A native of Alamance Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Silas Stutts and Minnie Susan Sparks Stutts.
Mary retired from Glen Raven Mills after 32 years of service. She was a proud member of the World of Pentecost where she cherished her Church and Church family. Mary loved her family more than anything, enjoying cooking and baking for them for any occasion. She enjoyed her time over the years setting up her little booth at the Flea Market as it gave her so much joy. Mary loved her pets as they were her babies, Chloe, Bella, and Luke will always be in her heart.
Survivors include her children, Rita Bailey and husband Steve, Ricky Sheffield and wife Crystal, and Sam Sheffield and Fiancé Jessica James; a brother, James B. “Pedro” Stutts Sr.; her loving 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and her many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Numan Delano Sheffield and Robert Melton Rich; and her brother, Jay Hermon Stutts.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday November 7, 2024, at The World of Pentecost with the Pastors Kenny Godair and Willie Vanhook officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday November 6, 2024, at McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of her daughter, Rita Bailey. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The World of Pentecost at 1935 Hanford Rd, Burlington, NC 27216 or to AuthoraCare Hospice at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215. The family of Mrs. Rich would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of ARMC for their love and compassion shown to their family during this difficult time.
