PRICE, George Riley, 61, formerly of Pearisburg, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at his home in Leesburg.
Born in Pearisburg on August 6, 1941, he was a son of the late Paul Ralph and Mary Helen Woodyard Price.
Until he was disabled, he was a service manager in the automotive industry, and for more than ten years enjoyed coaching little league football, baseball and basketball.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Price.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peney and Kim Steven Wright of Huntingdon, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, Rohn and Carol Price of Alexandria; a grandson, Nick Price of Alexandria; his stepmother, Pauline Price of Pearisburg; brother, Greg Price of Pearisburg; sister, Paulette Hughes and husband Kevin of Pearisburg; sister-in-law, Helen Tate Price of Richmond; his beloved aunts, Elsie Holt of Pembroke, Becky Roundtree and husband Ed of Mechanicsville, Ann Price and husband Harold of Pearisburg, Eva Brockman and husband Grey, formerly of Vienna; three nieces, Denise Timme of Richmond, Shanna Lucas of Pearisburg, Miranda Hughes of Pearisburg; two nephews, Michael Hughes of Pearisburg, Curtis Price of Richmond.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke, with entombment following in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. 470, George Riley Price
