Geraldine Carolyn Johnson died December 11, 2024 at home in her sleep in her hometown of Burlington, NC at aged 82. Suffering from failing health over the past ten years, a devout though very private Christian, she now rests in peace.
The only child of Zorado May Hogan and Henry Johnson, she remained unmarried and had no children. Surviving cousins include Roy King and Jana Sue Wood of Alamance County, William Hogan of Bethesda, Maryland and Raymond Hogan of Brandenton, Florida.
‘Gerri’ attended Elon College and worked at May Memorial Library and The Alamance County Department of Social Services, and later Walmart until her retirement. She was an avid animal lover, and cared for many dogs and cats over the years. She loved people, had many dear friends, and was well liked and respected by all who knew her.
