Richard Lee "Rick" Dinkins, 55, of 113 Union Drive in Princeton died Friday, January 09, 2009 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born in Welch, WV February 15, 1953 he was the son of the late Joseph and Bernice Mitchem Dinkins.
Rick was a retired heavy equipment operator at U.S. Steel #50 Mine at Pineville. He was a member of the United Mine Workers. He had been a resident of Princeton since 1958 moving here from Welch.
In addition to his parents one brother, Marc Steven Dinkins, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Clara Beth Whittaker Dinkins of Princeton; three daughters, Angela Crews and her husband Eric, Amanda Trail and Lindsey Trail all of Princeton; two grandchildren, Jordon Crews and Nicholas Crews; two brothers, Dennis Dinkins and his wife Laura and Chris Dinkins and his wife Kim all of Princeton and one sister, Kim Dinkins Cecil and her husband Danny of Winfield, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, 2009, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bruce Woodson officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 11, 2009.
