GREENSBORO - Phil Brande was born to Woodrow William and Corrie (Andrews) Brande on July 26th, 1938 in Rockingham County, NC.
He had a sister, Judy (Brande) Bingham, who is now in heaven.
He is survived by the love of his life of 64 years, Priscilla (Dickens) Brande. They were married on July 18th, 1959. In 1963, they had their first bundle of joy, daughter Phyllis (Brande) Hill.
Nine years later, they added another member to their family, their son, Phillip Andrew Brande.
Phyllis is married to Teddy Hill, and Phillip is married to Nicole (Robbin) Brande. They have two children, Aurora (24) and Quinn (21).
Phil also had a son-in-law, Dean Varner, who was married to Phyllis, who is also in glory with him today.
Phil Brande served his country with honor in the Army from 1961 to 1967.
He was an employee at Western Electric, Beamon INC, and then finally at Gilbarco until his retirement.
He served the Lord faithfully at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
The family will receive those who would like to offer condolences on Tuesday, May 7th at Forbis and Dick Funeral home at 5926 West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro, NC from 5:30 until 7:30 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 1201 South Josephine Boyd Street in Greensboro at 1pm. Rev. Jim Cates will officiate the service.
A graveside service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park following the service with Rev. Reid Dickens officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1201 S Josephine Boyd Street, Greensboro, NC 27403 Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel is serving the Brande family.
