Judy Barnwell, 72, of Burlington, NC passed away at her residence on Monday, December 30, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of Jule Carr Barnwell and Bertha Elizabeth Wade Barnwell, both deceased.
Survivors include four nieces, Michelle Barnwell Mayton and husband Robbie of Liberty, Christina Barnwell Madden of Statesville, Adrienne Barnwell Rice and husband Trey of Burlington; and Jessica B. Sneed and husband Len; two nephews, Eric Christopher Mosher and wife Emily of Finksburg, MD and Ric Bruton wife Johna of Graham; bonus daughter, Stevie Fields of Whiteville, NC; six great nephews; two great nieces; three great-great nieces; one great-great nephew; two sisters-in-law, Sue Barnwell and Cindy Shoe; one brother-in-law, William Mosher; lots of extended family; and her beloved canine companion, Sweet Pea. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Barnwell and Thomas Barnwell; a sister, Revonda Barnwell Mosher; and a sister-in-law, Faye S. Barnwell.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. by Robert Cauthren with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence of Adrienne Rice, 822 Iseley School Road, Burlington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County, 2213 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215 or the Women’s Resource Center in Alamance County, 411 West 5th Street, Suite B, Burlington, NC 27215. 261, Judy Barnwell
