Miss Sallie Jean Burton, 99, of Burlington, NC passed away at Ashton Health & Rehabilitation on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of Robert Bowman Burton, Sr. and Ola Pearl Barnett Burton, both deceased.
She was formerly employed with Dixie Bell.
Sallie was a former member of Lea Bethel Baptist Church in Prospect Hill and a current member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her nieces, Linda Riggs Price (Ronnie), Dianne Riggs Durham, Wanda Rice (Don), and Teena Burton; many great nieces; a great nephew; and many great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Frances Riggs, Robert Burton, Jr., Thomas Burton, and Hallie Jones (her twin).
A private graveside service will take place at Cooper Cemetery in Prospect Hill, NC, officiated by her niece Teena Burton.
