Donald Lee Fogleman, 79 years of age, a native of Alamance County in North Carolina, left this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:23 PM surrounded by family and friends at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Donald was born in Alamance County on December 1, 1945. He was the son of the late John Braken Fogleman & Margaret Elizabeth Huffman Fogleman.
Siblings were Billy Glenn & Carolyn Pickard Fogleman, both deceased. Donald is survived by his brother, Stephen Fogleman.
Donald was a beloved faithful Husband to his wife, Mary Deloris Daughtry Fogleman for 58 years. Donald and Deloris lived in Yanceyville, NC on a very peaceful piece of property where they both enjoyed a simpler way of life, and they also were part of the Mennonite community for many years. Donald was a man of deep Faith and hard work. He built cabinets in his earlier years and trimmed out many homes and made special pieces of furniture for family, friends and businesses. He worked out of The Hardware Store of Gibsonville, NC for 29 years where he made wood moldings. He could turn wood into something beautiful and meaningful with just his two hands. He found joy in using his talents to bless others. To know Donald was to love him. His kindness, generosity and humor touched everyone who met him. No one was a stranger to Donald Lee Fogleman.
Above all Donald cherished his family. Donald was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather. He is survived by his wife Mary Deloris Daughtry Fogleman, daughters, Angela Lea Fogleman King and husband Barry Wayne King, Elizabeth Dee Fogleman Kennedy and husband Michael James Kennedy, grandchildren, Jeffery Brackens King and wife Emily Hicks-King, Brayden Wayne King, Kaylee Jordan Harris and Lillian Elizabeth Kennedy, and one great granddaughter Londyn Noelle Gaskins.
The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at The Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington, NC with viewing beginning at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Mennonite Church Cemetery in South Boston, VA.
