She was born April 3, 1918 in Bluefield, WV to Joseph C. Abbatiello and Roda Richardson Abbatiello.
She worked at Shoney’s in Bluefield before her retirement.
She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie Thompson; daughter, Louise Poynter; son, Frankie Taylor; three grandchildren; sisters, Carmela Dillow and Mary Ann Collins; brother, Dominic Abbatiello.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Chandler, Shirley Eanes and Joyce Farmer; four sons, Joe Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Junior Thompson and Scottie Thompson; brothers, Egidio Abbatiello and Joe Abbatiello; 28 grandchildren.
