Elizabeth Crouch Sands, 63, died Saturday, July 07, 2012 at Johnston County Hospital in Smithfield, NC. She is survived by sons Jim and Jed of Raleigh and Jackson and wife Jodi of Jacksonville, Florida. She also has two granddaughters Kathryn and Kerra Sands of Jacksonville, Florida.
Mrs. Sands worked the majority of her life in Reidsville in the tobacco industry by the side of her husband, the late Larry Sands.
She grew up in Madison, N.C. where she graduated from high school. She is the daughter of the late Ed and Hazel Crouch who ran the Patovi Theater in the town.
Mrs. Sands loved to cook for family and friends and was a passionate fan of the Duke Blue Devils. She also loved American history and was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Faith was also important in her life. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. 470, Elizabeth Crouch Sands
