The funeral for Florence Virginia Powell Altice, 82, who died Saturday, Dec 8 was conducted Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Flora Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Larry Mann. Burial was in High Street Cemetery in Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Altice Jr., and her parents, Walter Lee and Ethel Woodward Powell, Sr. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Leggett Department Store.
