Obituary Online notes for Jack Conrad WYRICK
J. Conrad Wyrick went home to be with his Heavenly Father August 8, 2015.

Conrad was born June 22, 1943 in Greensboro, NC to Pearle and Jack Wyrick.

From early years, it was apparent that Conrad was the epitome of hard word evidenced by the pride he took in delivering newspapers to his customers on New Garden Road. In later years, his energy and drive served him well as he grew from boyhood into a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Conrad was a man of great character and one of his strongest traits was his ability to make friends and to keep those friends for a lifetime. It has been quoted that “friendship isn’t about whom you have known the longest, it’s about who came, and never left your side.” Conrad was one of those loyal friends. In good times and bad, he would do anything to help anyone, without being asked. The adjectives that one could use to describe Conrad are many. These include generous, loyal, kind, compassionate, and encouraging to name a few. All who knew Conrad, knew of his devotion to God, his family, and his friends. He was an enthusiastic gentleman, but when he was given four beautiful and loving granddaughters, his joy overflowed.

Two of Conrad’s passions in life were NC State Athletics and the beach. It would be hard to say which he loved most. Conrad lived for attending NC State football games and rarely missed one. He adored all things “Wolfpack” and made many friends through his association with North Carolina State University.

Conrad lived at N. Myrtle Beach for many years and found his time spent there to be his Heaven on Earth.

Conrad lives on through his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearle and Jack
Wyrick and his wife, Sandra Eller Wyrick.

He is survived by his sons, Chris (Merrily) Wyrick of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Cam (LaDeana) Wyrick of Waxhaw, NC, granddaughters, Caroline and Caitlin Wyrick and Lindley and Cali Wyrick, brother Wayne (Pat) Wyrick, of Greensboro, and sister, Carol (Sherwood) Wilkins of Kernersville NC, sister-in-law Jane McConnell, and loving, caring, and dedicated companion, Ann Smith, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

With grateful hearts, the family thanks the staff of Royal Park in Matthews, NC.

Their kindnesses and devotion to Conrad will always be remembered.
470, Jack Conrad Wyrick
