Obituary Online notes for Doris WYRICK
Doris Wyrick Tillman, 89, passed away on September 29, 2018 at Greensboro Hospice and Palliative Care.

Doris was born to the late W. G. Wyrick, Sr. and Minnie Brown Wyrick. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was a compassionate nurturer, caring for her aging parents and all members of her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother as she shared her love, delicious meals, and generous contributions to her family’s welfare and others.

She was a member of Alamance Presbyterian Church and of Guilford Chapter #141, Order of the Eastern Star.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Tillman, her sisters; Mildred O’Brien, Erma Reynolds, and Jean Oliver, her brothers; Ralph Wyrick, Granville Wyrick, Clifford Wyrick, and W. G. Wyrick, Jr.

Survivors included daughters; Vivian Lanier and husband Danny, Janis Meredith and husband Randy, granddaughter Callie Cook and husband Nick. Her step-grandchildren include Neal Lanier, Brian Meredith, and step-great-grandchild Joshua DeMoss. Survivors also include a brother-in-law, Jack Oliver Sr., and many nieces, nephews and “adopted” family members.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Alamance Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
Interment was held at Westminster Gardens following the service.

Memorials may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27406 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.

Forbis and Dick Funeral Home, Pleasant Garden Chapel, served the Tillman family.
