Ruby L. Crowder, 93, of Weaverville, N.C. passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Weaverville Brian Center.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Annie Holcombe Ponder and the wife of Conn Crowder who died in 1983.
She was also preceded in death by brothers: Raymond, Raleigh and Willie Jay Ponder.
Surviving are 2 sisters: Annie Mae Fox of Mars Hill and Dollie English of Weaverville; a brother: L. E. Ponder of Weaverville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Shelton will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Fox Creek Cemetery.
