ARCHDALE - Mr. Clem Gwynn Tate, 85, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 16, 1997, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born Jan. 26, 1912, in Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Jean Reynolds Tate, who survives, Mrs. Alene Clark Tate and Mrs. Alice Nance Tate, who died in 1991.

He was the son of Mr. Alexander Tate and Mrs. Dora Gwynn Tate, both deceased.

He was the retired owner of C.G. Tate Plastics Inc. and attended Bales Memorial Wesleyan Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Jimmy Tate Sr., who died in 1993.

Burial: Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
