MEBANE — Hazel Tate Mc-Cauley, 95, of Mebane, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 23, 2011.
Hazelwasalifelongmember of Mebane United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Esther Circle, Singles and Singles Again and the Workers Bible Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her son, Garlin Harrison McCauley (Sylvia); daughter, Barbara M. Tapscott (William); grandchildren, Beverly McMillian (Eric), Pamela Hodge (Todd), William Kent Tapscott (Roxanne) and John Kyle Tapscott; and her great-grandchildren, Heather Tapscott and Brett Tapscott.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlin Harrison McCauley; parents, Joseph Albert Tate and Georgia Harmon Tate; and brother, Joseph I. Tate.
Funeral services will be conducted at Mebane United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 South 4th St., Mebane, N.C. 27302.
