Lula Mae Malone, age 63, of Granite Falls passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence.
She was born August 16, 1951 in Madison County to the late Robert Lloyd Putnam and Callie Kate English Putnam.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Irene Shepherd and Mary Kate Ray and one brother, Robert Locke Putnam.
Ms. Malone was the Manager of the Coffee House in Lenoir for over 33 years.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Lee Malone of Granite Falls; a daughter, Jeannie Malone of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Christopher James Dishman, Brandon Lee Dishman, Brittney Nicole Malone, Destiny Ann Malone and Cory Lee Malone; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton Williams and Levi Dishman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Leonard Younce. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
