Obituary Online notes for Landon Carmel CARVER
Landon Carmel Carver, 81, of the Grapevine Community in Marshall, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2018.
He was the son of the late Claude and Dolly Shook Carver.
Mr. Carver was a US Army veteran and carpenter and drove for Coca-Cola for 22 years.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three siblings, Dewey and Neil Carver and Flo Arrington and a brother in law, Eude Mace
Landon is survived by his wife, Edith Norton Carver; son, Michael "Craig" Carver, a daughter, Tira Metcalf (Travis); grandchildren, Kenny Metcalf (Jessica), Brittnay Metcalf and Christopher Metcalf; great grandchildren, Hunner and Kenzie Metcalf; brothers, Daniel Carver (Teresa), Ronnie Carver (Dede), Leroy Carver (Judy); sisters, Glenna Mace, Wilma Orr, Elaine Bradley (Roger), as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 4:00PM June 5, 2018 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service officiated by Revs. Wade and Wayne Rice. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00PM prior to the service.
Mr. Carver was an amazing person that carried his faith in the Lord with him wherever he went. You could always expect to be met with a smile and a story. He was a loving husband of 51 years, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed as he was well thought of in the community by friends and family.
