Maynard Samuel Arrington, 74, of Weaverville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021.
Maynard was born June 27, 1946 in Madison County to his late parents Homer and Maye Harmon Arrington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Lee Arrington, grandson, Scott Samuel Arrington, daughter-in-law, Malena Arrington and four siblings, Megget, Homer, Jr., Dedrick and Velda.
Maynard was a hard worker. He co-owned A&A Wood Products Sawmill with his son Ronald. He was also a logger, mechanic, fabricator, musician, and jack of all trades. He enjoyed a hard day’s work, and taught his boys how to work, no matter how late they had stayed out the night before.
Left to cherish his memory are: sons, Mark Arrington and Ronald Arrington (Teresa); daughter, Rachel Webb (Nelson); grandchildren: Kayla (Lee), Tonia (Braxton), Allen (Mallory), Keri (Gio), Julie and Jacob; great grandchildren: Joshua, Conner, Carson, Annabell, Lily, Samuel, Blaze, Case and Jed; siblings: twin brother, Maylon, Uzziel, Zade, Willie Faye, Dewight, Iva Glenn and Clara; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Madison Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Parker officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Blaze, Joshua, Allen, Jacob, Gio and Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Case and Jed.
Interment will follow at Arrington Cemetery. 470, Maynard Samuel Arrington
