Ernest Everett Shook, 67, of 60 Whitt Road, died Saturday in Asheville VA Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Madison County, a son of the late Charlie Wayne and Julia Boone Shook.
Served in US ARMY, World War 11 VETERAN
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Whitt Shook, they married 1-5-1950; a son, Danny Lee Shook of Nashville, Tennessee. Two sisters, Geneva Shook Kinnick of Telford, Tennessee and Irene Shook Honeycutt of Mars Hill; and two brothers, Vance Shook of Brevard and Charles Shook, Jr. of Mars Hill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Ivy Hill Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Revs., Worth Emory, Bob Ballard, and Stanley Peek will officiate. Burial will be in Whitt Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Capps Funeral Home, Mars Hill, where the body will remain until 30 minutes before services. 470, Ernest Everett Shook
