Dennis Guy Howell, 64, died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Miss.
He was born Sept. 8, 1933, in Bakersville, N.C., to Herbert and Estelle Howell and lived in Aberdeen for the past 21 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Aberdeen where he was a choir member, a past chairman of the Pas-tor-Parish Committee and a member of Stewardship Committee. He was past president of the Rotary Club and the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce.
He was retired manager of International Minerals.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Howell of Aberdeen; his son, Dennis Howell and wife, Tanya of Archbold, Ohio; his daughter, Pam Beach and husband, Bob of Toledo, Ohio; two grandsons, Ryan and Kiel Howell of Archbold, Ohio; his parents, Herbert and Estelle Howell of Bakersville, N.C.; two sisters, Wilma Tinney and Liona Taylor of Bakersville; three brothers, Ted Howell and Kenneth Howell of Bakersville and J.D.
