Ethel Ada Howell Kanipe, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. She was born to the late Edward and Ruth Queen Howell, on November 29,1938, in Mitchell County, North Carolina.
Ethel was a retired telecommunicator for the Marion Police Department proudly serving over 20 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Alonzo Kanipe Jr. of 54 years and a sister Helen Wright.
Left to cherish her memory are three children; Shannon Kanipe, Jeff Kanipe (Susan) and Chris Kanipe, one brother; Don Howell (Tinga) one brother-in-law; Carroll Wright, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a friend of the family, Kay Lawrence.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 29,2021 at McDowell Memorial Park, at 1:00 p.m.
