Doris Louise “Dottie” Ward, 92 of Supply went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Autumn Care of Shallotte.

Mrs. Ward was born September 24, 1932 in Alamance County, North Carolina, daughter of the late George and Eva Hall.

She and her late husband Reverend Frank E. Haith, Jr. were members of Altamahaw Baptist Church where she was involved in various ministries. Following his death, she married J. R. Ward and became a faithful member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, siblings, Javey Hall, Joybelle Mansfield, Frances Stroud, Ann Moore, Ralph Hall, Maggie Pierce, and Lee Roy Hall.

Survivors include her children, Vicki Fargis and husband Royce of Elon, North Carolina, Cynthia Apple of Weaverville, North Carolina, and Scott Haith and wife Emerald of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Whitney Carroll and husband Blane, Damon Fargis, and Megan Apple Carpenter and husband Bo; four great grandchildren, Madelyn Carroll, Millie, Violet, and Winnie Carpenter; special niece, Mona Haith who cared for her during her declining health; and her special canine companions, Archie, Rowdy, Dexter, Mason, and Emily.

Funeral services will be eleven-thirty in the morning on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Hewett officiating. The family will receive friends from ten o’clock until eleven-thirty at the church and other times at Mrs. Ward’s residence. The family will also receive friends from twelve o’clock until one thirty in the afternoon on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Altamahaw Baptist Church in Altamahaw, North Carolina and other times at the daughter’s home, 2016 Northcrest Drive, Elon, North Carolina. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to SECU Hospice, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, North Carolina 28422, Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23453, or Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
