A native of Sanford, N.C. she was a daughter of the late John Alexander and Ida Carpenter Gladden and had lived in Rockingham County for most of her life.
A retired beautician, and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she was preceded in death by her husband V.S. "Pike" Clymer, 6 brothers and three sisters.
Surviving: Daughter: Sandra C. Small and husband David of Reidsville, N.C. Two grandchildren: Lee Small and wife Nicole, Jeff Small and wife Amy. Four great grandchildren: Wesley Small, Jacob Small, Jessica Small, and Emily Small 470, Ola Gladden Clymer
