Claud Franklin Cook, 72, of Sunsetview Road, Reidsville, NC, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Elijah and Lucille Childrey Cook and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life. He was the co-owner/operator of Expert Tree Work, a former employee of N.C. Gas Service, and a former employee of Asplundh Tree Service.

He was a member of the Rockingham County Naturalist Club.

Claud was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald R. "Donnie" Cook, Sr., and Floyd Cook.

Surviving include his wife Donna Sandhagen Cook of the home; Son, Brian L. Cook of the home; Daughter, Susan Cook-Khan of Madison, NC; Granddaughter, Donna Nichole Khan and husband Oscar Bahena of Madison, NC; Great grandaughters, Sophia and Liana Bahena both of Madison, NC; Brother, Spencer Cook; Sister-in-law, Dixie E. Cook

Citty Funeral Home of Reidsville assisted the Cook family.
