Robinette Lee Irvin Pryor, 81, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 surrounded by her family.
A private family Graveside Service will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Joe Tarpley and Rev. John Burton officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 323 Maple Avenue, Reidsville from 10:00 AM till 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Mrs. Pryor was born on August 12, 1934 to the late Walter J. Irvin, Jr. and Lola Young Irvin in Rockingham County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her favorite times included being with her friends and family at the beach house and at home. Robinette was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pryor and her best friend, June Whitler.
She is survived by her daughter, Lee Irvin Law and fiancée Joseph Thomas; grandchildren: Katherine Darnell and husband, Bradley; Kristina Langley and husband John; Thomas "Trey" Law III and Michelle Law; great grandchildren: Breanna Campbell, Haley Law, Grace Langley, Allyzza Law and Garrett Darnell; brother-in-law, Sam Childrey; sisters-in-law: Clarice Roach, Marie Lewis and Pauline Pryor; nephew, Mickey Brame and wife, Gina; great niece, Nickey Brame; and great nephews, Justin Brame and Jamie Brame; and good family friends: Wayne Vernon and Joe Frick. Paul Rudd Pryor, 60, of Maple Avenue, died Monday, November 17, 1997, at Annie Penn Hospital.
The funeral was held Wednesday, November 19, 1997, at Main Street United Methodist Church. Burial was in Greenview Cemetery.
Son of the late John A. Pryor and Etta Clymer Pryor and brother of the late J.A. Pryor, Jr., Mr. Pryor was a native of Rockingham County, a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where he was currently serving as an Usher and on the Administrative Board, past president and member of the United Methodist Men, former president of the Young Adult Sunday school class, member of the Men's Garden Club, and retired from Burlington Industries.
Survivors are his loving wife of 34 years, Robinette Irvin Pryor of the home; daughter, Lee Pryor Law of Reidsville; sisters, Clarice Roach, Marie Lewis both of Reidsville; Louise Brame of Burlington; half-sister, Stella Flynn of Reidsville; brother, Dewey Pryor, Elwood Pryor both of Reidsville; half-brother, Sam Childrey of Reidsville; four grandchildren, Katherine Pruitt, Kristina Pruitt, Thomas Law, III, Michelle Law.
