Daphne Gilliam Pritchett, 106, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the home of her daughter.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A native of Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Alvis Burton and Dora Turner Gilliam and was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Capers Norman Pritchett; daughter, Kathryn Miller; grandson, Donald Bradford Miller; 6 sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church, the Sunshine Sunday School Class, and Busick Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by daughters, Alice P. Boyette (C. W.), Laura P. Smith (Jerry), and Helen P. Hart (Mike); brother, Donald Gilliam; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. [53855]
