Glenn Douglass “Doug” Campbell, Jr., 66, of Burlington, NC passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 14, 2025 following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 47 years to the love of his life, Dana Campbell, who survives and the son of the late Glenn Douglass Campbell, Sr. and Mona Dean Owen Coble, who survives. He was the owner of Campbell’s Painting where he was a painter and contractor for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and was referred to as the Great White Chef for his love of cooking and grilling.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two children, April Campbell and Glenn Douglass Campbell, III (Lori), all of Burlington; two grandchildren, Sara Grace Couturier and Austin Edwards Couturier; two great grandchildren, Evelyn Kate Couturier and Ruthie Louise Couturier; a brother, Derrick Owen Campbell (Phyllis); and brother-in-law, Gene Moize. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Banks Campbell and sister, Darlene Campbell Moize.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:15 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
