David Max Knighten, 70, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Friday, December 22, 2017, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Military Rites by the Rockingham Co. Veteran’s Honor Guard.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late David Allen and Dorothy Lee McClintock Knighten and had lived in Reidsville and Wentworth most of his life.

David was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Grace Fellowship at South Park, and a retired employee of Burlington Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers; Forest Allen Knighten & Randy Steve Knighten and by a brother-in-law; Frank Charles Trotter.

Surviving are sisters; Sandra K. Knighten, Shirley K. Smith (Dale), & Becky K. Trotter all of Reidsville and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00PM Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister: Shirley K. Smith 486 Iron Works Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320.
