OBITUARY: GLENN RAY "MAYOR OF CAMP SPRINGS" WILLIAMSON

Glenn Ray "Mayor of Camp Springs" Williamson, 71, died Monday August 10, 2009 at his residence.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday August 12, 2009 at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Rotan.
Burial will be in Hobbs Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born June 19, 1938 in Camp Springs, TX Glenn was a son of the late Mark James and Marher Juanita (Glenn) Williamson.
At the age of just sixteen Glenn joined the Army and served in the Korean War.
He married Madeline (Carell) in Lubbock on November 28, 1960.
Glenn worked for Overhead Door in Lubbock for thirty years until he retired. Most of his life Glenn lived in Anton, TX and moved back to Camp Springs in 2000 where he opened a tack and saddle shop.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Cross Roads Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Madeline Williamson; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Tina Williamson of Franklin, TX; one daughter, Becky Williamson of Weatherford; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Robert Mark Williamson, James Wendall and Darlene Williamson, Jim Tom and Patricia Williamson; one sister and brother-in-law Martha Ann and Albert Roberts; two grandchildren, Jeremy Williamson and Sarah Williamson.
