Charles Maurice Crawley, 87, of 2955 Cabin Road, Alamance died at Edgewood Place on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 3:56 p.m.

A native of Rutherfordton, NC, he was the husband of the late Virginia Lee Crawley and the son of Richard Crawley and Mamie Foster Crawley, both deceased. He was a veteran serving as a Merchant Marine during World War II. Charles was the owner of Village Printing & Advertising Specialties and a member of Elon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Kimbro and husband Mark of Alamance; one grandson, Mark Kimbro, II of Alamance; one sister, Bettie Pendergraph of Haw River; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Crawley, Lowell Crawley and Gerald Dean Crawley and one sister, Anna Catherine Crawley.
