Edith was the seventh of eleven children born to Kerney Baskem and Bessie Mae (Harmon) Butler. She married Eugene Thomas 'E.T.' Franklin 1940 and they had four children: Sandra Mozelle, Eugene Thomas Jr., Jeffrey Butler and Timothy Dean Kivett.

GOLDSBORO - Mrs. Mozelle Butler Franklin, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late K.B. Butler and Bessie Harmon Butler and served as Vice President and
Secretary of Franklin Baking Company from 1945-1998. Mrs. Franklin was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery with Dr. William Hufham officiating.
Mrs. Franklin is survived by her husband of 60 years, E.T. Franklin a daughter, Sandra M. Franklin of Goldsboro; sons, E.T. Franklin, Jr. Jeffrey B. Franklin and Timothy K. Franklin, all of Goldsboro; grandchildren, T.K. Franklin, Jr., Andrew
J. Franklin, Grace Martin Franklin and Jeffrey B. Franklin, Jr.; and a sister, Helen B. Franklin of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530, Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive Goldsboro, NC 27530 or the charity of one's choice.
